Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jumlah leukosit dan rasio heterofil/limfosit (H/L) pada berbagai ayam sentul periode pertumbuhan. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 4 Oktober 2014 sampai dengan tanggal 4 Desember 2014, bertempat di Experimental Farm, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto dan Laboratorium Patologi Klinik, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. Materi penelitian menggunakan ayam Sentul periode pertumbuhan sebanyak 125 ekor. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), sebagai perlakuan adalah berbagai ayam Sentul, terdiri atas : Sa (Sentul abu), Sb (Sentul batu), Sd (Sentul debu), Se (Sentul emas), Sg (Sentul Geni). Peubah yang diamati adalah jumlah leukosit dan rasio heterofil/limfosit (H/L). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah leukosit berkisar antara 6370 ± 956,2949 sel/µl sampai 8000 ± 2605,7628 sel/µl, dan rasio heterofil/limfosit H/L berkisar 0,8445 ± 0,3305 sampai 1,8340 ± 1,4913. Data dianalisis dengan analisis variansi. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan berbagai ayam Sentul berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap jumlah leukosit dan rasio heterofil/limfosit (H/L). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah berbagai ayam Sentul periode pertumbuhan memiliki jumlah leukosit dan rasio heterofil/limfosit (H/L) yang relatif sama.

The aim of this research was to study the difference of number of leukocytes and heterophile/lymphocytes ratio (H/L) in growing periode of Sentul chickens. Started in October 4th to December 4th, 2014, took place in Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto, Central Java, and the Laboratory of Pathologycal Clinic, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The material of this research was 125 of Sentul Chickens in growing periode. The method was experimental, using competely randomized design, as the treatments were various of Sentul chicken, which consisted : Sa (Sentul abu), Sb (Sentul batu), Sd (Sentul debu), Se (Sentul emas), Sg (Sentul Geni). The observed variables was the number of leukocytes and heterophile/lymphocytes ratio (H/L). Result showed that the number of leukocytes ranged in 6370 ± 956,2949 sel/µl to 8000 ± 2605,7628 sel/µl, heterophile/lymphocytes ratio (H/L) ranged in 0,8445 ± 0,3305 to 1,8340 ± 1,4913. The results analyzed using analysis of variance. The result of analysis  varianses showed, there was no significant effect of various Sentul chickens (P>0,05) on the number of leukocytes and heteophile/lymphocytes ratio (H/L). The conclusions it, the varians of Sentul chickens showed the number of leukocytes and heterophile/lymphocytes (H/L) relatively the same.
