Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) pengaruh komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan setek pucuk beringin Jepang (Ficus benjamina L.), 2) pengaruh dosis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan setek pucuk beringin Jepang (Ficus benjamina L.) serta 3) interaksi komposisi media tanam dan dosis pupuk NPK bagi pertumbuhan setek pucuk beringin Jepang (Ficus benjamina L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Kedung Wuluh, Kecamatan Purwokerto Barat pada ketinggian tempat 80 m dpl. Penelitian ini dimulai dari 09 Desember 2014 hingga 04 maret 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial 3 x 3 dengan 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah 3 macam komposisi media tanam tanah, pupuk kandang sapi, dan arang sekam (perbandingan 1:1:2, 2:1:1, dan 1:2:1) dan faktor kedua adalah 3 taraf dosis pupuk NPK (1 g/tanaman, 2 g/tanaman dan 3 g/tanaman). Variabel pengamatan terdiri dari: pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan diameter batang, panjang akar, jumlah akar, volume akar, berat akar segar, berat akar kering, berat tajuk segar, berat tajuk kering dan persentase keberhasilan setek. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F, apabila ada beda nyata antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5% dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi media tanam berpengaruh terhadap variabel jumlah akar dan perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh terhadap variabel pertambahan tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, jumlah akar, volume akar, berat akar segar, berat akar kering, berat tajuk segar, berat tajuk kering serta persentase keberhasilan setek. Interaksi komposisi media tanam dan dosis pupuk NPK tidak berpengaruh terhadap semua variabel pertumbuhan setek pucuk beringin Jepang.

This research aims to known: 1) the effect of composition of the plant media on the growth of Ficus benjamina L. bud cutting, 2)the effect of NPK fertilizer dosage on the growth of Ficus benjamina L. bud cutting, and 3)an interaction between composition of the plant media and NPK fertilizer dosage on the growth of Ficus benjamina L. bud cutting. The research was conducted in kelurahan Kedung Wuluh, in West Purwokerto at the altitude of 80 meters above sea level. The research began from Desember 9th, 2014 until March 4th, 2015. This research used the Randomised Block Design (RBD) 3 x 3 factorials by 9 combinations and 3 replications. The first factor was the 3 kinds of media composition consisted of soil, cow manure and chaff charcoal (ratio 1:1:2, 2:1:1, and 1:2:1) and the second factor was the 3 levels of NPK fertilizer dosage ( 1 g per plant, 2 g per plant and 3 g per plant). The observerd variabels consisted of: the increase of plant height, the increase of number of leaves, the increase of stem diameter, root length, number of roots, volume of roots, fresh root weight, dry root weight, fresh crown weight, dry crown weight and percentage of life cutting. The F test was used to analyze the data and continued by LSD and Regression test. The result showed that composition of the plant media treatment effected on the number of roots and NPK fertilizer dosage treatment effected on the increase of plant height, the root length, the number of roots, the volume of roots, the fresh root weight, the dry root weight, the fresh crown weight, the dry crown weight and the percentage of life cutting. The interaction of composition of the plant media and NPK fertilizer dosage treatments did not effect on the growth of Ficus benjamina L. bud cutting.
