APLIKASI DUA ISOLAT Bacillus sp. TERHADAP PENYAKIT LAYU FUSARIUM PADA TANAMAN TOMAT DI LAPANGAN

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman dan lahan pertanaman tomat, Desa Banteran, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas pada ketinggian tempat 225 m di atas permukaan laut, mulai Maret sampai dengan Juni 2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivan dua isolat Bacillus sp. dalam mengendalikan penyakit layu Fusarium , serta pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol, Bacillus sp. B42, Bacilus sp. B64, gabungan Bacillus sp. B42 dan Bacilus sp. B64, dan fungisida berbahan aktif mankozeb 80%. Variabel pengamatan meliputi komponen patosistem (masa inkubasi, laju infeksi, intensitas penyakit, kepadatan akhir patogen, kepadatan akhir antagonis), komponen pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman, bobot segar tajuk, bobot kering tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering akar), komponen hasil (jumlah buah, bobot buah) dan analisis senyawa fenol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bacillus sp. B64 mampu menunda masa inkubasi sebesar 13,05%, menekan intensitas penyakit sebesar 33,94%, meningkatkan bobot segar akar, bobot kering akar, dan bobot buah masing-masing sebesar 31,65%, 33,15% dan 40,58%. Perlakuan Bacillus sp. mampu meningkatkan kandungan senyawa fenol (glikosida, saponin, dan tanin) di dalam jaringan tanaman.

This research was carried out at Laboratory of Plant Protection and tomato filed at Banteran Village, Sumbang Sub-district, Banyumas Regency at altitude of 225 m above sea level, started on march to July 2015. This research aimed to know the effectiveness of two Bacillus sp. isolates to control the dissease and its effect on growth and yield. Randomized block design was used with five treatments and six replicates, the treatment were control, Bacillus sp. B42, Bacilus sp. B64, combination of Bacillus sp. B42 and Bacilus sp. B64, and fungicide with active ingredients mankozeb 80%. Variables observed were pathosystem components (incubation periode, infection rate, disease intensity, and late density of the antagonists), growth components (crop height, fresh weight of crops, dry weight of crops, fresh root weight, dry weight of root), yield components (number of fruits, fruit weight), and phenolic compounds analysis. Result of the research show that Bacillus sp. B64 was effective to delay incubation periode as high as 13,05%, to suppress the dissease as high as 33,94%, to increase fresh weight of root, dry weight of root, and fruit weight respectively as 31,65%, 33,15% and 40,58%. Bacillus sp. were able to increase phenolic compounds (saponins, glycosides and tannins).
