Berbagai varietas padi terus mengalami kemajuan dalam perakitan varietasnya. Salah satunya adalah padi hasil biofortifikasi Fe yang memiliki kandungan nutrisi mikro Fe tinggi yang bermanfaat untuk mencegah defisiensi nutrisi Fe. Galur biofortifikasi Fe yang sudah melalui beberapa tahap uji dan akan dilepas menjadi varietas salah satunya adalah galur Unsoed Fe7. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk:  1) mengetahui dan mempelajari karakteristik agronomi padi galur unsoed Fe7 dibandingkan dengan dengan empat varietas unggul, 2) mengkaji hasil padi galur Unsoed Fe7 dibandingkan dengan hasil empat varietas unggul, 3) mempelajari korelasi karakter-karakter agronomik dengan hasil galur/varietas yang diuji.
Faktor yang diuji dalam penelitian ini adalah galur Unsoed Fe 7 yang dibandingkan dengan empat varietas unggul (Inpari 11, Inpari 13, Ciujung dan IR-64) menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 15 unit percobaan. Variabel yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan total, jumlah anakan produktif, umur berbunga, umur panen, panjang malai, jumlah gabah per malai, bobot gabah per malai, bobot gabah per rumpun, bobot 1000 biji, presentase gabah isi, dan hasil gabah kering per plot. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan sawah beririgasi teknis di desa Kutasari Kecamatan Baturaden pada bulan September 2014 sampai Februari 2015.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) karakter agronomik galur Unsoed Fe 7 memiliki hasil yang berbeda dengan varietas pembandingnya pada hampir seluruh karakter, kecuali tinggi tanaman dan bobot gabah per malai, 2) hasil dari galur G7 sama dengan varietas IR-64 mencapai 0,5 kg/m2, lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan varietas Inpari 11, inpari 13 dan Ciujung, 3) hasil memiliki korelasi positif dengan karakter jumlah anakan produktif, presentase gabah isi dan bobot seribu biji, korelasi negatif dengan karakter jumlah gabah total per malai.

Several varieties of paddy have increase in assembling variety. One of them is the result of Fe biofortification rice which have a high content of  Fe micronutrients that are beneficial for preventing Fe micronutrient deficiencies. One of rice line Fe biofortification that have been through several stages of testing and will be released into the varieties is Unsoed Fe7 rice line. This research purpose:  1) to identify and study the agronomic characteristics of Unsoed Fe7 rice line  compared with the four superior  varieties, 2) to assess the grain yield of Unsoed Fe 7 rice lines compared with four superior varieties, 3) to study the correlation between agronomic characters and grain yields.
Factors that are tested in this researh is Unsoed Fe 7 rice line was compared with four superior varieties (Inpari 11, Inpari 13, Ciujung and IR-64). The experimental design was used a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications so that there are 15 experimental units. Variables observed were plant height, number of tillers total, the number of productive tiller, flowering age, harvesting age, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, grain weight per panicle, grain weight per panicle, weight of 1000 seeds, the percentage of filled grain, and grain yield dry per plot. This research was implemented on technical irrigated field of Kutasari Village, Baturaden District in  September 2014 to February 2015.
The results showed that: 1) agronomic characters of Unsoed Fe 7 rice lines have different results with comparator varieties on almost all the characters, except for plant height and weight of grains per panicle, 2) grain yields of Unsoed fe 7 rice lines same with IR-64 varieties, more than the Inpari 11, Inpari 13 and Ciujung, 3) grain yields have possitive correlation with number of productive tillers, percentage of filled grain,  thousand seed weight, and its have negative correlation with the total number of grains per panicle.
