RINGKASAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sub sektor industri pengolahan non migas yang termasuk ke dalam sektor basis serta memiliki potensi untuk dapat dijadikan sub sektor dominan di Kota Bandung agar dapat mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah. Periode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 2009-2013.
Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Location Quotient (LQ), analisis Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), analisis Overlay dan analisis Klaassen Typology. Untuk melakukan pengolahan data, dalam penelitian ini digunakan software Microsoft Excel 2007.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sub sektor yang termasuk ke dalam sektor basis berdasarkan hasil dari alat analisis Location Quotient (LQ) adalah industri tekstil, barang kulit dan alas kaki, industri barang kayu dan hasil hutan lainnya serta industri barang lainnya, sementara itu sub sektor yang memliki potensi untuk dapat dijadikan sub sektor dominan di Kota Bandung berdasarkan hasil analisis Overlay adalah industri makanan, minuman dan tembakau, industri kertas dan barang cetakan, industri semen dan barang galian bukan logam, industri logam dasar dan baja serta industri alat angkutan, mesin dan peralatannya. Klasifikasi pertumbuhan sub sektor industri pengolahan non migas di Kota Bandung yang termasuk ke dalam kategori 1 yaitu sektor dominan berdasarkan analisis Klaassen Typology adalah industri barang kayu dan hasil hutan lainnya serta industri barang lainnya.
Sebagai implikasi, pemerintah Kota Bandung dibantu dinas terkait dapat menentukan strategi pengembangan sub sektor yang berpotensi tersebut menjadi sub sektor yang dominan dalam pembangunan daerah di Kota Bandung seperti pemberdayaan UMKM pada sub sektor potensial tersebut sehingga tercipta pertumbuhan ekonomi yang stabil.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this research is to perceive the sub-sectors of non-oil processing industries that are included into the basic sectors and also have a potential to be the dominant sectors in Bandung, in order to accelerate the economic growth of the regions. Meanwhile, the period of time of this research is 2009-2013.
The analytical methods that have been used for this research are the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, the Growth Ratio Model (GRM) analysis, the Overlay analysis and the Klaassen Typology analysis. The software to process the data is Microsoft Excel 2007.
The result of this research are that based on the Location Quotient analytical method the sub-sectors of the basic sectors are textiles, leather and footwear products industry, the logging industries and other kinds of wood products and other manufacturing industrial products. Meanwhile, the sub-sectors that have the possibilities to be made as the dominant sub-sector in Bandung based on the results of Overlay analytical method are foods, beverages, tobacco industries, paper and printing industries, cement and non-metals industries, iron and steel industries, and also the manufactures and transportations industries. The classifications of the sub-sectors of non-oil processing industries growth in Bandung that is included into the dominant sector, based on the Klaassen Typology analytical methods are wood products and other wood products industry and other manufacturing products industry.
As the implications, the government of Bandung assisted with the related public services, has the ability to determine the strategy of development to the sub-sectors which are potential to be the dominant sub-sector in the development of many regions in Bandung such as the empowerment to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) so the stability of economic growth will occur.
