Penelitian yang berjudul ‘Implikasi Ketegangan Semenanjung Korea Tahun 2013 Terhadap Hubungan Kerjasama Industri Kaesong Korea Selatan-Korea Utara’ akan menganalisis terkait dengan peningkatan ketegangan di Semenanjung Korea pada tahun 2013 yang memiliki implikasi secara langsung kepada salah satu wadah rekonsiliasi Antar-Korea yaitu Industri Kaesong. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis implikasi serta pengaruh dari ketegangan di Semenanjung Korea terhadap keberlangsungan hubungan kerjasama di Industri Kaesong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data in-depth interview dan dokumentasi serta teknik analisis data yang mengaplikasikan teori ke dalam permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketegangan yang terjadi di Semenanjung Korea tahun 2013 disebabkan oleh terdapatnya berbagai macam hal yang pada akhirnya memicu konflik antara kedua negara tersebut yakni semakin memanas pada tahun 2013, dimana Korea Utara melakukan percobaan nuklir pada tahun 2006, Mei 2009 hingga puncaknya yaitu pada tahun 2013. Disisi lain, perubahan kebijakan di pihak Korea Selatan serta terdapatnya pelatihan militer antara Korea Selatan dan Amerika Serikat menjadi pemicu yang membuat ketegangan ini semakin meningkat hingga berimplikasi kepada salah satu wadah rekonsiliasi Antar-Korea yaitu Industri Kaesong, yang kemudian mengalami pemberhentian operasi karena terdapatnya pemutusan hubungan kerjasama secara sepihak oleh Korea Utara yang memberikan kerugian yang sangat besar bagi kedua negara Korea tersebut. Permasalahan inilah yang akan diteliti lebih lanjut terkait dengan berbagai upaya yang dilakukan Antar-Korea dalam mencapai proses rekonsiliasi, sehingga pemberhentian operasi di Industri Kaesong tidak berlangsung secara permanen. **Kata Kunci: Ketegangan Semenanjung Korea, Kerjasama Internasional, Perdagangan Internasional, Kebijakan Antar-Korea, Industri Kaesong.

This research, titled ‘The Implication of the Tension in the Korean Peninsula of 2013 towards the Cooperation in Kaesŏng Industrial Complex between South – North Korea” will analyze the increase in tension in the Korean Peninsula in the year 2013 which possesses direct implication towards one of the means of Inter-Korea reconciliation, the Kaesŏng Industrial Complex (KIC). The purpose of this research is to analyze the implication and impact from the tension in the Korean Peninsula towards the continuity of the cooperation in the KIC, and also to find the economic and political impact both Korean countries possessed in the KIC. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative method, and data collection using in-depth interview and documentation, and also data analysis which applied the theory for the problem of this research. As a result of this research, it can be summarized that the tension in the Korean Peninsula between the North and South Korea have actually happened ever since the days of Cold War, which then split Korea in half based on the ideological values implanted by the era’s super power countries, the Soviet Union (communism) and the United States (liberal). The tension continues until today, which in the end resulted in conflict. There are several things that triggered said conflict between the two countries, which got even more severe in 2013, when North Korea tried to show their position as one of the powerful country in the East Asia region, by testing nuclear weapons in the year 2006, then May 2009, and reached its peak in the year 2013. On the other hand, the change in policy by South Korea and the joint military training between South Korea and the USA became a trigger in increasing the tension, which then affected one of the means of Inter-Korea reconciliation, the KIC, which operation was unilaterally halted by North Korea, which was detrimental for both countries. This problem will be researched and analyzed further, in relation with the many efforts done by both countries in the reconciliation process, so that the halt in operation in the KIC is not permanent, but only lasted 5 months and was reopened, even though it is still under review from both sides.
