THE INFLUENCE OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEM APPLICATION AND PERFORMANCE-BASED BUDGETING ON PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE (Survey on Employees of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas)

The aims of research are to analyze the influence of accounting information system application and performance-based budgeting on organizational performance of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas. The research was conducted at office of work unit of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas Regency. The method of research was survey with simple random sampling as the sampling technique used. Target population of this research was total of work unit of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas Regency. Based on the result of Slovin formula, it was found the sample size of 50 respondents. Furthermore, the technique data analysis used in this study was multiple regression analysis. Based on the result of data analysis, it could be concluded that accounting information system application as well as performance-based budgeting have a positive influence on organizational performance of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas Regency. Based the conclusions, it could be implied that as an effort to improve the public organizational performance, management of Local Government Agencies in Banyumas needs to pay attention on the Accounting Information System and performance-based budgeting policies. The ways that can be done to create a comprehensive technology plan are by evaluating the emerging technologies, considering the software as a service options for functions such as word processing, email and relationship management and utilize free software to free up the technology budget to upgrade machines faster, performing the program classification of expenditure in the budget by classifying expenditure into groups of similar services with similar objectives, a program budget helps budget decision makers compare the costs and benefits of expenditure options
