Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan ukuran jengger dan shank serta korelasinya dengan bobot badan berbagai ayam sentul umur 32 minggu. Materi yang digunakan terdiri atas 103 ekor ayam sentul umur 32 minggu. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan yaitu Sa: sentul abu, Sb: sentul batu, Sd: sentul debu, Se: sentul emas dan Sg: sentul geni. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ukuran jengger dan shank dengan bobot badan. Hasil menunjukkan berbagai ayam sentul berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap ukuran jengger dan shank (P>0,05). Koefisien korelasi ukuran jengger terhadap bobot badan berbagai ayam sentul jantan sebesar 0,38 dan koefisien korelasi tertinggi ayam sentul betina yaitu sentul batu sebesar 0,35. Koefisien korelasi ukuran shank terhadap bobot badan berbagai ayam sentul jantan sebesar 0,49 dan koefisien korelasi tertinggi ayam sentul betina yaitu sentul batu sebesar 0,69. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan ukuran jengger dan shank berbagai ayam sentul umur 32 minggu. Ukuran shank memiliki nilai korelasi terhadap bobot badan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ukuran jengger.

The purpose of the experiment was to study the differences of size of comb and shank and its correlation with body weight of many various of sentul chicken. The materials used were 108, 32 weeks old Sentul Chickens. This research was conducted using experimental method, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with treatment consisted i.e. : Sa = sentul abu, Sb = sentul batu, Sd = sentul debu, Se = sentul emas, and Sg = sentul geni. The data obtained were analysed using variance analysis and multiple linear regression to determine the connection between the size of the comb and the shank by weight. Variance analysis result showed that the treatment had non significant effect (P>0.05) on the amount of size comb and shank.  The coefficient of correlation of comb size on weight of males sentul chicken was 0.38 and the highest correlation coefficient of females sentul batu chicken was 0.35. The coefficient of correlation between shank size on weight of males sentul chicken was 0.49 and the highest correlation coefficient of females sentul batu chicken was 0.69. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there were no differences both comb size and size of many various of sentul chickens at 32 weeks. The size of the shank has the highest correlation to weigth than the size of the comb.
