PENGARUH SUPLEMENTASI DAUN KATUK DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP PERTAMBAHAN BOBOT BADAN INDUK DAN MORTALITAS ANAK KELINCI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan daun katuk terhadap pertambahan bobot badan induk dan mortalitas anak kelinci. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan agustus sampai September 2014. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelinci rex 18 ekor. Pakan basal tersusun dari rumput alam 11%, jagung giling 14%, dedak 16%, bungkil kelapa 27%, pollard 29%, molases 2,6%, dan mineral mix 0,4%. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan ulangan 6 kali. Perlakuan yaitu R1 : pakan basal tanpa penambahan daun katuk, R2 : pakan basal dengan suplementasi daun katuk 5%, R3 : pakan basal dengan suplementasi daun katuk 10%. Data di analisis menggunakan analisis kovariansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi tepung daun katuk tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan induk dan mortalitas anak kelinci. Rataan hasil pertambahan bobot badan induk dan mortalitas anak kelinci yaitu 1,722 - 2,414 gram dan 19,59 – 29,81 %. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah suplementasi daun katuk dalam ransum menghasilkan pertambahan bobot badan induk dan mortalitas anak kelinci yang relatif sama.

The study, entitled the effect of supplementation with Sauropus androgynus L. Merr leaves in feed on growth of rabbit and kid mortality that was carried out from August to September 2014. The materials used in this study were 18 rex rabbits, basal feed of the Sauropus androgynus L. Merr leaves. The basal feed was composed of 11% natural grass, 14% corn flour, 16% bran, 27% coconut meal, 29% pollard, 2.6% molasses, and 0.4% mineral mix. The research methode was experimental, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments, each treatment was repeated 6 times, so there was 18 experimental units. The treatments were R1: basal feed without the addition of Sauropus androgynus L. Merr leaves, R2: basal feed supplemented with 5% Sauropus androgynus L. Merr leaves, R3: basal feed supplemented with 10% Sauropus androgynus L. Merr leaves. The variables were analyzed using analysis of covariansi. The results of the study showed that the growths of rabbits were between 1.722 to 2.414 grams, with an average of 1.865 grams and the amount of kid mortality were from 19.59 to 29.81%, with an average of 23.92%. The results showed that Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr leaves meal had no significant (P> 0.05) effect on the growth of rabbit and kid mortality. Feed consumption on average research 2744.71 grams, whereas feed consumption is crucial in increasing body weight. The conclusion of this study is katuk leaves supplementation in the diet resulted in relatively similar growth of rabbit and kid mortality.
