KEMAMPUAN ZOO-TEKNIK LARVA IKAN GABUS SENTANI (Oxyeleotris heterodon Weber, 1908) DALAM UPAYA DOMESTIKASI

This study is conducted to determine the ability of fish larvae zooteknik Gabus Sentani with aspects such as volume and shrinkage yolk observed development of the mouth opening, the specific growth rate and mortality of larvae and feed suitable for fish of larval stage Gabus Sentani. The method used is an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. Sampling fish eggs Gabus Sentani using purposive sampling technique in nature (lake) and then make observations and calculation of volume and shrinkage yolk, the development of the mouth opening, the specific growth rate, mortality of larvae and feed suitable for fish Gabus Sentani the larval stage. The treatments used were feeding in the form of (P1) egg yolk, (P2) Spirulina powder, (P3) biofloc, (P4) infusoria, (P5) Artemia Nauplii, and (P6) artificial feed (pellets). The results showed that 0 hours after hatching the larvae of fish Gabus Sentani have volume yolk (yolk) of 0,0444 mm³. Volume shrinkage yolk 24 hours after hatching into 0,0133 mm³, and 48 hours after hatching into 0,0043 mm³. Early development of the larval mouth opening occurs 24 hours after hatching the openings MH 45° and MH 90° reaches 0,13 mm and 0,24 mm. Specific growth rate showed the best results in the treatment of feed use spirulina powder that is the specific growth rate on day 6 reaches 0,006 mm and the specific growth rate on day 10 reached 0,019 mm, while the treatment using egg yolk specific growth rate on day 6 only achieve 0,002 mm and at day 12 reached 0,011 mm. Giving with 6 different types of feed can not be lowered mortality of fish larvae Gabus Sentani because all larvae died on the 13th day, but the larvae are fed spirulina powder can live up to 10 days and the larvae fed egg yolk can survive up to a day to 12. Type feed spirulina powder and egg yolks have suitable criteria as feed for larval stage.
