Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1). dosis pupuk organik yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman garut 2) ). umur panen yang tepat untuk menghasilkan rendemen pati tertinggi 3). interaksi antara dosis pupuk organik dan umur panen yang tepat untuk menghasilkan rendemen pati tertinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari April 2012 sampai dengan Maret 2013 di lahan bawah tegakan kakao Kebun Dinas Desa Limpakuwus, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor yang dicoba yaitu dosis pupuk organik dan umur panen. Dosis pupuk organik yang diberikan yaitu dosis 5 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha, 15 ton/ha, dan kontrol. Umur panen yang dicoba adalah umur panen 8, 9, dan 10 bulan. Variabel yang diamati tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, kehijauan daun, bobot kering brangkasan, lingkar umbi, bobot umbi per tanaman, bobot umbi per petak, dan rendemen pati. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji F apabila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan DMRT 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). dosis pupuk organik yang tepat untuk menghasilkan umbi garut tertinggi adalah 15 ton/ha 2). umur panen yang tepat untuk menghasilkan rendemen pati tertinggi adalah 9 bulan 3). interaksi antara dosis pupuk organik dan umur panen yang tepat pada perlakuan B0U3 yaitu 15 ton/ha dan umur panen 10 bulan sebesar 9,423% .

The purpose of this study are to determine: 1) The proper dose of organic fertilizer for the growth and yield of arrowroot 2) The proper age of harvesting to produce the highest yield of starch 3) The proper interactions between organic fertilizer and harvesting age to produce the highest yield of starch. Research has been carried out from April 2012 to March 2013 in a land under cocoa stands in the Official Garden of Limpakuwus Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency. The design that be used is a complete randomized block design that repeated three times. The trial factor are dose of organic fertilizer and harvesting age. The dose of organic fertilizer were 5 tonnes/ha, 10 tonnes/ha, 15 tonnes/ha, and control. The harvesting age that be tried are 8, 9, and 10 months. The observed variable were plant height, tiller number, leaves green level, stover dry weight, tuber circumference, tuber weight for each plant, tuber weight per plot, and arrowroot starch yield. The collected data are analyzed by F test, if there is a significant differenciacies then a DMRT 5% test is performed. The result showed that: 1). The appropriate dose of organic fertilizer to produce the highest arrowroot tubers is 15 tonnes/ha 2). The proper harvesting period age to produce the highest starch yield is 9  months. 3). The interactions between organic fertilizer dose and harvesting age on B0U3 treatment is 15 tonnes/ha organic fertilizer and 10 month harvesting age at 9,423%.
