Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep cantik menurut pelanggan salon kecantikan, upaya yang dilakukan perempuan agar terlihat cantik, alasan mereka bersedia melakukan perawatan kecantikan yang dapat membahayakan kesehatannya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Konsep cantik dapat dibedakan menjadi dua, yaitu kecantikan dari fisik dan psikis (inner beauty). Adapun trend perempuan cantik di abad ini adalah tinggi, langsing, kulit putih, rambut lurus ataupun bergelombang, dan model pakaian yang up to date.Upaya yang dilakukan untuk wajah perempuan memilih facial, karena facial dianggap perawatan yang popular dan mampu mengatasi masalah yang sedang dialami oleh wajahnya. Perawatan tubuh dengan pijat lulur, perawatan ini dianggap mampu untuk menghilangkan stres karena pekerjaan sehari-hari. Perawatan untuk kesehatan kulit informan lebih memilih untuk suntik putih (inject whitening), Suntik putih dikategorikan sebagai perawatan yang berbahaya karena proses untuk menjadi putih bersifat instan. Bahaya dari suntik putih ini berdampak pada kondisi ginjal yang akan memburuk, dan itu sudah diketahui juga oleh para informan. Alasan perempuan cantik itu dengan memiliki kulit tubuh yang putih seolah olah menjadikan perempuan lupa akan bahaya yang akan terjadi.

This research have purposes to determine beauty concept according to customer of beauty lounge, the efforts that women have done for looking beautiful, their reasons for willing to do the beauty treatment which can be dangerous their health.The research’s results have resulted some points, which are the beauty concept is differ in to two categories, physical and personality (inner beauty). Women always tried to appear attractive physically and willing to buy beauty products, and even if it is necessary, taking surgery procedure which taking a lot of money. Also, they compete to follow the trend of mode in order to be left behind by era. Now, the indicators of women can told beautiful are tall, slim, white skin, straight hair, and wearing up to date clothes. All the treatments have done by women just for getting the beautiful, clean, and white body. Treatment for bodies also categorize from different parts of their own bodies. Treatment for faces is rather do facial, because facial is a popular treatment according to women and also solving a face troubles. Body treatment through scrubs massage is assumed capable for disappearing stress because daily job. In case in treatment for skin, the informants is rather to choose inject whitening, in addition to make the body refresh because contain a vitamin C which is needed for bodies, but also able to whiten the skin with instant process. Inject whitening is categorise as a dangerous treatment because the procedure itself is an instant. The dangerous from inject whitening is afflicted in kidney condition which getting worse. But the worst thing is the danger is known by the informants. The reason why those beautiful ladies have the white skin bodies is pretended becoming women forgot about what danger will be happen.
