The Effect od Job Characteristics to Job Satisfaction with Technology Acceptance as Moderator

The aims of this research were to investigate the significance effect of five core job characteristics (skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy, and feedback) on job satisfaction, and to investigate the significance effect of technology acceptance as the moderation in the relationship between job characteristics and job satisfaction. This research was conducted at PT. Indosat Purwokerto, which located at Jl. Jenderal Soedirman No.6. Purwokerto, 10110. Indonesia. Target population of this research is total number of fix employees of the PT. Indosat Purwokerto that amounted to 150 people. Based on calculation result of Slovin formula and to meet the minimal sample size, then amount of respondents in this research of 60 people. Sampling technique of this research uses convenience sampling. Furthermore, technique of data analysis that used in this research was simple linear regression and moderated regression analyses. Refers to these regression analysis results, it can be concluded that skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy as well as feedback has positive significantly effect on employee’s job satisfaction, technology acceptance moderates significantly the effect of skill variety, task identity, task significance as well as autonomy on job satisfaction, while technology acceptance moderates but no significantly effect on the causal relationship between feedback and job satisfaction of PT. Indosat in Purwokerto. Based on the conclusions, it can be implied that as an effort to increase employees’ job satisfaction optimally, management of PT. Indosat in Purwokerto need to pay attention on skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy and feedback both directly or indirectly through technology acceptance.
